Starting from scratch - I am confused...

Hi,

I know new things are always weird at first.. but really, I am so thrown, I thought I had best come to forum.

I am looking to make my own card designs and upload them here.. (that IS what this site is for is it not? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick?)

So far, I just cannot find a link to Create A Card or such like and one would think it would be obvious. I read in the forum someone mention there was such a link.. so what am I missing? So far all I can find is the widget thing to sell other peoples cards...

Can anyone please advise... THANKS!

To open a store, click on the link that says artists at the bottom of this page from there you will find a link to create your store....once you create your store you will then be asked to upload your first card design...good luck!

I just realized that maybe you didn't want to sell your designs.....if not and you just wanted to upload them and buy them yourself then you would just go to the home page and click on photo cards there you can upload your own picture and buy it....

if you wanted to sell your designs then you need to open a store...

Reply #3 - Jan 8^th, 2010, 2:34pm Hi Michelle You need to be signed in then go to "Manage Store", then hover your cursor over "Images and cards" then use the drop down menu to "Create a Card"... from there follow the instructions through the upload process. Hi,

Thanks for your replies. For some reason, I just presumed that one registration was enough. I registered but obviously that was from the buyers side of the site. Eventually I found the Artists link and registered again.

Ive noticed though that it now says I am an ex member in the forum... curious! Oh well, onwards and upwards...

Hi Michelle,

Welcome to GCU! Sounds like you were able to get your artist account up and running but let us know if you have any additional questions. As others have noted the Create a Card section can be accessed from the Manage Store page.

I would recommend taking a look at the GCU101 link that Kathleen posted above, as it can be extremely helpful for new artists.

Hello, I am new too and very confused. I submitted some designs that said they needed to be resubmitted because part of the image was cut off. Instead of resubmitting, I actually created all new cards. Now I need to delete the ones submitted earlier.

To delete a card, do you have to click on each card and then select delete - or is there an easier way to delete several cards at once. Even though I clicked delete, the cards still are there.

Hi Anne,
Welcome to GCU!

It sounds like you have it right. One way to delete a submitted card go to manage store page>Images and cards>manage cards. Just above your cards you will see an option for list view or tile view in blue text.
Choose list view and the cards will come up in list form and you can easily see where to delete them. As far as I know only one can be deleted at a time but this way they line up nicely.
This will only delete the cards that were submitted as cards, your original images that show under 'create a card' will still be there until you delete them.
