Identifying clicks on cards.
Jun 5th, 2009, 6:44am

I don't know know if this has ever been asked for before or if it is something that can be done?

In the store report we can see how many clicks we have in total for cards in our store. In Manage cards we can see how many clicks a card has received. However, it is hard to figure which cards have accrued new clicks, one has to rely on memory of the last time you looked, not too difficult with brand new cards but with the older cards it is hard to tell. undecided

GCU-Is there a way to highlight/change the color of the click total on a card if it received a click that day. Therefore clearly identifying some activity on that card. Refreshing the color alert each day, so you can see trends or target your work accordingly.

Maybe there is a way to do this independent of GCU, if anyone has a method please share. kiss I would love to see more clearly where the daily activity is in my store.

Hi Pamela,
Yes, this has been mentioned before, but I don't remember if it is on the to do list or not.  I would love to have this option, as we could see what customers are looking at and not buying.  This is just as important as what they are buying.  Maybe we could spruce up some of those cards that don't get sold, but are being looked at.  At another site, you can actually sort the cards by most visited by day, week, month and all time.  This would be very helpful and I hope it is on the list.

My Flickr account shows us the daily activity on our sites by tracking how many hits on each pic and where they are coming from, for example,  if it's a google search etc.... and come to think of it my typepad blog does the same thing and I can look to see what words they have entered in the search engine.  My blog for my business offers a more detailed analysis which I have to pay extra for if I want that information. So, all this to say, it would be nice & helpful to know more about the shoppers.     Smiley

Thanks Kathy and Neva for establishing that this is possible, and with extra bells and whistles too!
Let's hope it's on the list-near the top! Grin

I just checked out my business website to see what the name of that company is that offers more detailed statistics and it's called RapidInsite comprehensive site statistics.  It charges according to the amount of clicks you get on your site but the info is tremendous.   For those who have the money to spend it would be worth it, that is, if GCU wanted to offer that.  Here's the breakdown on their prices:
Monthly page views          Monthly prices
   2,500                                $6.95
   15,000                               $10.05
   40,000                               $14.95
   75,000                               $22.95

and it keeps going.  If you're getting over 75,000 page views a month on GCU, then you're doing good.
Just thought I would pass on the info.   Wink

Thanks for bringing this up.  I would love to know this type of information too!  This would help differentiate between the clicks that come from GCU for instance, and the ones that come from outside the 'Universe' so to speak! Grin
That wish list must be exceedingly long!

Hi Avis,
I do hope they can do this for us. I get all excited when I see I have had lots of clicks on a day and then for the life of me on most days I cannot find what was clicked on! Smiley
I'd love to know what folks are looking at and not buying, as Kathy said it would be helpful to see because it gives you the chance to look at it with a different eye, perhaps it needs a tweak here or there.
Wishing and waiting Wink
