Recent Solicitation Email - NOT from GCU
May 22nd, 2009, 11:29am

Many artists have been contacted recently with the following email.  This is NOT from GCU nor supported/sponsored by GCU.  The emails were sent via artists' storefronts and the sender used a GCU email alias with malice.

email content:
"We love your work and we will like to invite you to our printing community.
In our community where designers can post their work, so multiple printing companies can utilize your work by pay you royalty fees. The following links will tell you more about us.

1. Designer user agreement. http://supprint.com/Info/PrivacyPolicy.htm#designeragreement
2. Current Designs http://supprint.com/Search.htm?c=135
3. Our Community http://community.supprint.com/
4. FAQ: http://supprint.com/Info/Help.htm#designers

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any question."

Email sent from: designers@supprint.com

With all solicitations artists need to determine what is viable or not viable for them to pursue.  We do not want to prevent solicitations via your storefront as they can offer great opportunities.

We will be notifying this sender to stop using a GCU email alias.  It shows poor judgment and poor business practices on their part.  Angry

Thanks Mindy for 2 things:

1. Keeping an eye on these type of solicitations in the group.
2. For not minding if we pursue other venues to sell our work even if GCU is the springboard that gets us to these other opportunities.

I appreciate that.   Wink
