I agree that it is nice that we can have the option.  That  is important at GCU to give the artist freedom.  I like some of the proposed changes that Mindy mentioned are in the works.

For those of us choosing to take away the GCU generated credits on the front of the card, I wish there were a way to do so globally - the existing cards not just the future cards.

Mindy or Shaun?  Is this possible?

I also like the front of the card credits, I dont think it takes away from the art...I do however shorten the front credit to my initials...and a copyright symbol...(O169 + alt at the same time) ©jlp with the smallest font. It would be nice to have a color grid...to blend in more...like the one we now have for the inside of the card. ( hint-hint ) There I go again, newbie making suggestions.. Roll Eyes

Hint dutifully noted.  Wink

We discussed this yesterday at the office before I made my post as I suspected this would be a natural follow on question.  Thanks for proving me right!   Grin

First, yes at this time the Global Settings only allows you to turn on/off your Image by Credits for NEW cards.

Since all of your cards images have to regenerate (the text is part of the image vs a layer) it would be difficult/unwise to offer this as a automated feature.  Perhaps we can offer it as a "by request" feature like we do for the image protection watermark.

Am I hearing that this is an important feature?

I will be gradually removing mine - in most cases, the grey I used faded into the background of my image anyway.

Cheers,

Hmmmm. I'm not sure if I'll take my name off the old ones. Still. Maybe GCU can change that all on their own and we don't have to deal with it. I have less than 60 cards in my store and so I feel that I'll wait ans see down the time line first Wink Smiley.

Yes, Mindy, you are hearing that it is an important feature!  Smiley  I started to remove my front of card credits and it is taking a long time - I have a few hundred cards. If global removal of front of card credits could be available for existing cards, I would be most grateful.

Thank you,

We'll add it to the list however I can't give you a time frame since all are busy as bees with the recent changes.  Appreciate your patience  Smiley
