I am looking for ... a Welcome Home from the Navy card.  My nephew is coming home after 5 years of service and two deployments to Iraq!  I am looking for something that expresses my pride in him and his service, my happiness and gratefulness that he is finally home safe and sound - BUT no "pro-War" or "G-d Bless America" or zealous/syrupy patriotic tone.  I appreciate your efforts in this very much!

My husband is retired military so these kind of cards always pique my interest.
I was just working on a 'Military Retirement' when this request came in, so guess I'll go finish that one.

I did a Navy specific one as well for this request. It is pending approval. This was a very touching one for me. I know exactly how he feels as we experienced the same emotions with my younger brother & nephew. So glad his loved one came home safely. 189945

Thanks for letting us know about requested card sales!  My mom has been very ill the last few weeks, so I haven't been keeping up on emails and sales.  So this follow-up is greatly appreciated, and we sometimes wonder if the special request cards sell ... they do!  And they have continued selling potential as well.  
 
Big THANKS to the customer who bought this card if you're reading the forums!  The commissions on this and all my other military and "Support Our Troops" will be donated to the Eastern Paralyzed Veteran's Association (I think they are now called United Spinal Association -  http://www.unitedspinal.org/ )... it's a terrific organization that helps wounded war vets re-adjust to life at home with physical and vocational rehabilitation.  So, three cheers to GCU and the customer for helping this very worthy cause!  In addition to my regular contributions, I will match the total commissions earned on these cards and send it to them at the end of the year as a gift from GCU.  I still hope we can work on developing connections between our great Artists here and the causes and organizations that they support.  
 
Congrats to Kathy as well!  Good job to all the artists who worked on this one ... there are still many young men and women returning home, and I'm sure there will many sales from the Welcome Home from Service category in the future.  Good luck and many sales to all!
