Pixels at 1500 x 2100 or more for me as I use Paint Shop Pro. Some people have hundreds and thousands of cards that they just can't seem to get them filed as the card listing keeps growing and where to put them all, lol. Me? I've yet to do more cards. I'm a bit slower paced. The "Favorite Store" thing reads good. I wonder if they'll get around to do it or have had it done already. I've read that the gloss is better than matt as the colors come out better. When at a loss, support is here. They anwser all your questions Wink Smiley. I like the old timer picture cards you've done. Cool  Smiley Wink.

Hi, Tom!

Welcome to GCU! I like your cards; very clever use of vintage graphics and text.

I can't answer all your questions - I'm sure Mindy (admin) will chime in at some point - but I'll take a whack at a couple.

The ability to add an artist's store to a customer's favorite's list (Favorite Artist) is something that's on GCU's wish list for 2008.

As for larger preview images... I understand why that would be desirable for some artists like yourself, since the humorous text 'sells' the image. However, the larger the image, the greater the danger that the image might be pirated, which is a concern for everyone.

Don't know about 'packs' of cards... GCU's printing partner uses an automated process, but perhaps that's something that can go on the wish list too. Currently, a customer can order cards in bulk and receive a discount.

Keywords... you don't have to add 's' to keywords. That's taken care of. You only need to modify plurals if it differs from the singular (example: marry, marries).

Yes Tom!  Get right in here and get involved!  That's part of what makes this site so terrific--the artists don't just drop off their products and leave quietly.
As for your suggestions:  Many were in the back of my mind too, and some are simply beyond my intelligence.  (I know enough about computers to be dangerous...so I try to stay out of suggesting pixel sizes etc.)
As per your preview size request....Oh YES!  I have been thinking since day one that it would be such a selling point if the customer could see the card as it will look in their hands--what a difference that would make!  I have no doubt that feature alone would multiply our sales astronomically!  But I had heard this before about the larger size making it more likely our cards could be pirated.  Must be something we can do about that...or perhaps it would be worth the risk???

If I might add one more request to our 'wish list', it might be that--as we rearrage our gallary, these changes be reflected in all our pages.  It is difficult when your 10th picture in your gallary is #279 when you try to find it to edit something...
Shaun?  Mindy?  Would this be possible?
And you already have all my requests from yesterday (or the day before, not sure) like, about navigating between pages when editing our old cards....very cumbersome and time consuming now.

Thanks for listening.

Tom did you delete your original post?  You had some great suggestions.  Please feel free to email me directly at shaun@bigdates.com.  Sorry for not replying to this earlier, we were hoping to get some feedback from our programmers regarding your list but it has disappeared, along with a few of your other posts.

Yes, I was wondering about that.  Having read another post, I was wanting to see what the suggestions were.  We are here to all work together in this new endeavor of GCU, and if a new fresh perspective offers ideas that may or may not work with the current system, one should still be allowed to offer those ideas without being shot down.  We all offer ideas that may only initially be for personal gain, but maybe in the long run it may benefit the many.  New Ideas should never be shot down.  They may not be able to be carried out by GCU now or even in the future, but don't fault anyone for trying to better themselves.  The worst thing that could happen if you offer a suggestion/idea is you will receive a "no we can't do that right now".  However, if a "yes we can do that" is given, then we may all win.  I can say this, because I am an idea person.  Always trying to come up with new solutions to any situation even though some people don't think it needs fixing. It's just what I do.  There will always be rejection, however, if you plug away long enough for what you want, and visualize what you want, and tell the Universe what you want, and do the work to make it happen, it will happen.  It's "The Secret"!

I hope to read any suggestions anyone has to offer.  I've said enough.   Smiley
