OOPS ... I thought this was the Men's Restroom

Hi all,

Yes, another newbie crawls into GCU and into the forums, and worse yet, he's a man.

OK, I know, there are a few other males swinging by, tree to tree as we do, but I'll try to fit in. I do have a billion questions.

First though, I must tell you that I spent a good chunk of the weekend reading the forums and you people are incredibly civil, helpful, complimentary, and downright, dare I say it, - NICE!

That really needs to change.

OK - just kidding a bit there.

Secondly, I must say the artwork here is unbelievable. I absolutely don't fit in that way, as I am no "Artist." I come in as a writer-type, so the writing I'll claim is my "Art." As we know, a good card needs to be appealing on both fronts.

Anyhow, I'll look forward to the banter.

What an inventive nich you have created here. The old photos are especially well suited to your sense of humor. It seems human nature to smile when we look at 'old fashioned' photos and then we are all primed for that humorous verse.
Great job! You will be a great addition to our home here at GCU.

Thanks everyone for the warm reception. It makes a marginally talented hack like myself feel pretty darn good. I certainly have been learning a lot, and the shop is now up to 18 cards and will grow to 34 by this time tomorrow.

OK, are you ready? Here’s a confession: I even made up a “Will you be my Bridesmaid?” card today. (There I said it) embarrassed

I swear, I never imagined myself ever doing a card like that. Kinda embarrassing, but hey, if that’s what’s sellin’ …… I’m there. Cool
