Thanks so much for the detailed reply, Mindy, I truly appreciate the excellent support I have experienced on GCU.  Knowledge is power, and knowing what is going on administratively is immensely reassuring. Smiley

The fullfillment house .com shouldn't even BE on the back! They are already profiting from all the orders sent to them thanks to GCU members. Personally I feel the entire back should be editable by the artists themselves, whether you want to put gcu.com or your own .com on the back or your logo or any illustration or graphic. The "back" panel can be designed the same way the front design is uploaded. How simple is that? (OK, it's double the color toner costs for the printer, but that's about it.)

Thanks, Mindy, for letting us know of future plans. They all sound like worthwhile improvements. I also appreciate the delayed answer regarding my earlier post about recycled paper.

I'm very glad to be a part of GCU. I have lots of ideas for card designs, and I look forward to a successful year.

It is interesting to hear about this. I believe that the advertising for the printer has been an agreement between GCU and the printer from the beginning. I am surprised however that GCU has accepted this.
Finally I think it is a cost question. Often printers insist on their logo on the printed product (cards, booklets etc.) but the users can "buy out" of that i.e. if you pay extra money you will get a neutral product.

But I never noticed a case were the printer is directly competing with his customers. With each sale from CGU the printer gets an opportunity not only to recommend his site to our clients, but also to the recipients of our cards, who do not know about us at all.
The promotional effect of our work is stopped at that stage and diverted to cardstore.

If Cardstore would offer to open accounts as CGU does I am sure all of us would open an account there. The consequences for CGU would be clear.

Summary : I would prefer, as others have stated, a solution that makes it possible to edit the backside of the cards to their needs.
