Oh my---I am STRONGLY recommending ordering sample cards of your images.

They may look fine online, but in hand---whoa. Not what I was wanting to portray at all.

Out of the 38 cards that I've ordered of mine as samples, 38 need to be redone. I'm not kidding. I wouldn't order another of mine until they are revamped----the images are dark, cropped text, and look like I made them off my printer.

I used 300 dpi, good lighting, and had what I thought was enough 'bleed over' room to not distort the image. I was wrong. Sad

So, if you would like repeat business, please ensure that you're images are coming out the way you would want them to by reviewing a sample card in real time.

Good business means quallity checks!

Hi Kerra
I'm sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the quality of your samples.   cry

I'd be happy to work with you to correct the issues.  I'll be sending you an email shortly with a few questions about your cards and also your process for creating cards.

Hi Kerra,

So sorry to hear what happened with your cards, but I have no doubt that Shaun and other good folks at GCU will do their best to help remedy the problems.  I have tough time with borders, so I try to avoid them as much as possible ... but otherwise, I have been happily impressed with GCU's print quality.  My own cards come out exactly as specked both in terms of color and type.  I've also purchased cards from many other artists here and they all look terrific.  Obviously, I don't know if they look exactly as the artist thought they should, but I've seen no problems in the cards I've purchased.  As far as the colors go, I agree with the others about checking your monitor calibration and printing out a test before rendering a final version.

I believe GCU still offers one free sample card to artists when they join.  For anyone new to this, it's a very good idea to order a sample of one or two of your cards before creating a large inventory.

Kerra, I hope it will just be matter of some minor adjustments that won't take too much time.  Your cards are adorable, so keep us posted on how things work out.

Kerra - how disappointing - I haven't seen my cards yet so I can't really comment - I do want to know though that we will get feedback from ADMIN if any customer requests a refund on account of quality...

Mindy - is this happening/going to happen?

Eugenia

You have nothing to worry about, Eugenia ... I know first hand, your cards come out beautifully!

There is a refund statement under the "Shopper FAQ" at the bottom of the site page, 100% money-back guarantee, so I'm sure GCU has a fair refund policy if a customer is not satisfied for any reason.  But it might be a good idea if it was a bit easier to find.  Hopefully, it won't be necessary most of the time, but I think it makes customers feel more comfortable making purchases.

Edit ... ooops!  I misread your question!  I think you meant, will admin let us know if a customer was not satisfied with one of our cards.  Hmmm ... yes, I too would like to know about that.
