Greetings,
Earlier I mentioned that it takes 6 months to show up in natural search rankings? Good news, we're finally there
GCUniverse is getting great ranking on search engines especially when the search is for "paper greeting cards" and average ranking when the search is for "greeting cards" which will take more time and effort, since we're competing with the ecard sites.
We have created a new report for you: GCUniverse Traffic Analytics (under Reports & Analysis)
It is a good source for you to see what types of searches are converting into GCUniverse traffic. There is little store specific data, mostly GCUniverse as a whole. However, you can see your websites/blogs referrals to GCUniverse. These reports will become more valuable as our traffic grows.
Some interesting specifics:
Search for: "Paper Greeting Cards"
- On Yahoo - GCU is #3
- On Google - GCU is on 2nd page. BigDates (with GCU cards is #3 on 1st page)
- On MSN - GCU is #2
Search for: "Labor Day Paper Greeting Cards"

The following will continue to help us excel in rankings:
- More categories
- Improving our holiday pages
- Creating more holiday pages
- Adding more appropriate cards per holiday/occasion
- Better titles, inner verse text, and keywords
- Ongoing forum postings that include popular keywords
- More card widgets pointing to your stores
- More comments about your cards
Let us know your thoughts and keep up the great work! We are well on our way to making GCUniverse the best destination site for paper greeting cards. We have much more in the works on directing customers our way. Stay tuned ...
