So I spotted my card in the Design-of-the-Month contest announcement on facebook and started to share the link on my pages and groups and then realized my card is shown on the header image and advertising image for this month's contest but it doesn't appear to be among the voting options... Is this an oversite or do you randomly choose cards for the image that advertises the contest without really putting them in the contest??

My card in question is the westie dog card on the right end in this image:

Greetings!

I have another question regarding the contest: I have tried to vote several times -- without -- sharing my 'friends' list with Offer Pop, but it seems that in not sharing, I am not allowed to vote. Sad

In reading the privacy policy, it looks like Offer Pop can/will send out "one email" to people on my friends list, which I'd prefer not to subject them to.

Anyone know a way around this?

I'm assuming that that the reason for collecting the data is to be entered into the drawing for a voter's prize, which isn't important to me.

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Hello again GCU Artists!

We just completed our second Design of the Month Contest, this one for all Design of the Day cards from April. We incorporated some of your suggestions from last time, and everything went well.

Please welcome me in congratulating our April Winner: Maria Dryfhout.

She managed to get over 350 votes which takes some real effort. Her winning design can be seen here:

Hi, Paul,

Unfortunately, I didn't feel as though I could vote in last month's contest, due to the data collection by Offer Pop. (Which I asked about in an earlier posting.)

Has there been any consideration to having the contests here at the GCU website? Or a neutral site that is not collecting data?

If the contest were held at GCU, then customers would be here at the site and able to -- hopefully -- purchase cards. I'm not sure about other people's buying habits, but I usually am a customer of a company before I like their Facebook page (or the page is owned by a friend of mine.) And I've never made a purchase from Facebook.

If a voter comes to GCU and votes, for a pet groomer birthday card, then there could be a question that pops up after they vote, such as: "Thanks for your vote! We have 200 birthday cards for pet groomers, would you like to see them?" And they can say "no" and be on their way, or if they click "yes" then they get to that card category. Of course that's just a suggestion ... If they voted for a card with a rose, then they could be given the opportunity to see more cards with roses, etc.

Just my 2-cents!
