Anybody ever had problems with text areas?
Feb 22nd, 2012, 3:13am

I wonder if anybody else ever has experienced any problems fitting all their text into the designated areas when creating a customizable card?

I had submitted a card with pretty much text (as it was supposed to look like a newspaper page). But when I entered my text, it got cut off at a certain point (in both paragraphs). Though there was definitely room enough, I tried making the text areas bigger (like you can see in the attached screenshot), but it didn't help. Nevertheless, it was approved like that, as the reviewer hadn't noticed it, just like myself. So I contacted the reviewer to point it out. The reply was: "Thank you for your note. I'm sorry that I didn't catch that earlier. I'm sending this issue to the administrators and we will get back to you as soon as we can next week. I hope you agree that it's best for this card to be taken off-line until this issue is resolved. We don't want a customer to have problems with this card. Thank you for your patience".

I'm glad I have a lot of patience Wink as that was in August, and nothing ever happened. But since I have a father's day card coming up with the same design (and the same problem) I would kind of like to have this resolved...

Cute idea & graphics. When you get this up I'm going to pass it along to a friend for a potential sale.

About 3 weeks ago I did a custom front card - the reviewers asked me to make the boxes bigger than the space. I had already did that. So I ended up making them huge. I can see in your screen capture that you did the same thing. On a another card I just wanted a single monogram - I couldn't really put my finger on it but I felt that there was some box area positioning problems. With a single letter it was a little difficult to identify just what was going on.

I haven't tried another custom front since then. All I can say is try. Maybe they fixed the issue.

Good news!

With the help of the review team, we found out that the solution was to create a box for each paragraph, so that might be helpful to any of you, as well.

Thanks for keeping us up-to-date. I just found out that the text boxes should not overlap. Those text boxes sure are a bugger to position. If only we could type in the positioning numbers that would help. Oh, well. . . I've forwarded the link to someone I know. Glad to see that the card is approved!

I've given up making cards with text boxes as I can never seem to get them right.
Just do the photo bit now! undecided

@SunAtNight:
Thanks for the forwarding!

@Angela:
Yes, it's quite frustrating, as you can't see the text when you adjust the text areas, and you can't just change the coordinates numbers, either.
