Well HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I really like the design, but be glad I'm not a reviewer. I would like to see some more detail in the trees and snow or if you used that area for the text. I just got the feeling something is missing on the bottom half of the card. But then, what do I know? I've been having a heck of a time with my last dozen or so submissions with almost every one being put on hold, returned for edit or declined. LOL

The inner verse is beautiful and heartfelt. Love it! Grin

Congratulations again!!! Have a wonderful Christmas holiday and a most creative New Year as well!

It's probably not my place to jump in here on your critique of Pamela's card, but, really? Why critique her card? It's lovely just as it is. When I saw it the first time, I thought, "Wow! Pam really aced this request!" And she did.

Now let's return to our regularly scheduled topic congratulating Pamela for a beautiful card and her DOD!

Hi there Randy

I am glad you liked my verse.
As for my design, I considered what you said, but I have to say I am satisfied with my end result so I am going to keep it that way.
You see, in this card I wanted the eye to be drawn to the simple sentiment 'Thinking of you this Christmas' with the backdrop of the flag emblematic of a patriotic or military association with the sentiment. To make this evoke the season I wanted a simple impression of the season but not in any way distract the eye from going up there to the sentiment. That's why I left out the details on the trees and did not put text on the lower right, so that the eye would skip this area and focus on the upper message.

Sorry I did not see your Happy Birthday on the Facebook page Doreen, thank you for sending one out to me. I am still not on Facebook and it seems I cannot see anything on the page I go to from the link up there at the top of the page. cry
