Photo Cards from the Customer's Perspective
Sep 15th, 2011, 12:53pm

Just out of curiosity, today I put a photo card in my shopping cart and did all the customizing a customer would do.  I uploaded a photo, put my name on the front of the card and so on.

I just wanted to pass along the feedback to GCU  . . . WELL DONE!

I found it simple to understand and easy to use!  Customers will love it!

The only thing I would like to suggest if its possible is to put the LOADING PREVIEW message that is currently at the top of the preview screen down on the lower portion of that screen - here's why.

When you load the preview screen, the original version of the card comes up first and sits there a few seconds just like it does for us when we create them.  The top part of that message box on computers that use wide-screen monitors such as mine cut off the top of that window until you realize that you need to move it down.

Some people who are not as apt at online software as I am may think they've done something wrong and abort the process without every noticing the Loading message on the top of that box.

Just a thought . . . I loved the ease of use!

And I just RECEIVED my first photo card order in the mail today!  Well done in that regard, too, GCU!

The whole new photo card process is looking good!

Oh, but I tried a photo eCard yesterday, and that didn't work as well for me--but the problem could have been on my end.  I only tried it once and didn't go back to see if I could determine what went wrong.

OK, I just can't get this photo card. I've been trying for a few hours and my hair is falling out.  I make a png and cut out a transparent area where I want the photo to go.
When I load my png, cutomize it and define the area where I want the photo. I choose a picture and size it.
Am I ok so far?
Then I save and view and guess what, all I get is a white space where my transparent area is on the png.
Help. I've read and reread and I'm a dummy for the day. Wow, this is frustrating. Sorry to be a pill. actually, that's what I need now, excedrin 101.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Marie, that happened to me yesterday. I had made three photo cards and the last one I made pulled up with a white space. I just hit my back arrow, and that pulled the card up again, I repeated the process and then it worked right. Could be a little glitchy-poo in the program, but it did work right when I did that.

Also, be sure you are doing a final "Save"
