New Custom Request Interface
Jun 21st, 2011, 6:07pm

Hi Everyone,

We've added a new tool to help you manage your custom card requests.  We think this will make it much easier to communicate with shoppers during the custom design process.

The new tool keeps all of the communication within GCU instead of in emails.

When a shopper submits a custom card request, the request will show up in the new tool and you can either approve, reject or reach out to the shopper for more information.

If you choose to approve the project you can exchange messages with the customer directly through the tool.  When you send a message to the shopper, they'll receive an email from GCU containing a link to the conversation.  Similarly, when the shopper submits a reply you'll be notified with an email linking back to the conversation.

A number of you have shared that you thought your emails were either not being received by shoppers or that they ignored the email because it came from the artist and not GCU, so we're hoping that this issue will be resolved now that the emails are coming directly from GCU.

You can see the access the new tool here:
http://artist.greetingcarduniverse.com/community/custom_req_interface.asp

Feel free to test this out and give us your feedback.  The easiest way to do this to open a different web browser and send your self a custom card request (For example, if you're logged in using Firefox then open Internet Explorer and send a custom request from there).  When submitting a request you'll need to use an email that's different from your artist login.  Please note that shoppers will need to verify their email address before the custom request gets sent to the artist.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

Shaun

Excellent Shaun!

I'm looking forward to it!!  I'm guessing it will make a difference in how much response we get after a custom order is received.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Super idea Shaun.  I'm looking forward to using it and shoppers will benefit too.  Really appreciate GCU continuing to improve and grow.  Thanks to the tech team too!

Great work, and I'm happy to see this new feature BUT one thing that doesn't make me the happiest of bunnies is that there was already a custom request in the tool from five days ago, and I never received an email notice from GCU.

Will we be getting email notifications of new requests, or do we have to check multiple times a day?
