Just want to say hi.

Hi Everyone, I just thought it's finally time to introduce myself. I'm already following the topics in the forums for a while, which are often very informative to me. Thanks to everyone. Hope at some point I'm experienced enough to help someone else. I'm glad I found GCU to keep my tiny Greeting Card Business going. I sold just 4 Greeting Cards this year, but I'm even very excited about that. Other than that I'm a SAHM with a 2 year old an 10 weeks old son. Not really much time to create, but a lot of inspiration through those cute little guys. Working on some cards so is a nice change.

First let me say that your cards are beautiful. Great work.

I am glad you are on the forum now. You certainly will be able to help others.

Congrats on your sales. It takes a while but you will see your sales rise. It is so exciting to know that someone chose one of your designs to send to a loved one.

If you have any questions, there are a lot of very helpful/knowledgeable people here. Ask away.

Hello Gerda, You do have your hands full with 2 little ones, but have managed to create some VERY CUTE cards! I did notice that some of your animal characters in your designs (which are wonderful) face left on the card. From my experience, I believe that they would READ even better facing Right, as the eye naturally wants to travel in this direction, Your very cute train of Elephants for example, and your Storks W/baby. I look forward to seeing more of your PRECIOUS work. I hope I'm not being too forward offering my suggestion.

Welcome Gerda! What a DELIGHTFUL style you have! You are bound to do well here, it just takes time both on your part to create and for your cards to be found. They are so cheery and well drawn...I just love them!

Be sure to keep a 'greeting card journal' nearby, so that when your precious family inspires you, 'make a note to self' so you'll have all those perfect card moments to draw from when those quiet moments hit Grin

Gerda,

Beautiful, comical art! Loved your store, and all the characters there, especially the chicken whispering in the pig's ear.

You're cards definitely will sell more as you get a following here. It does take time, lots of promotion and like fishing, having the right bait at the right time! You certainly have the right bait!

I'll be back to see what else you've put up, so better find some time between the kids and your SAHM duties to do some more creating because you have a gift which should be shared!
