Hi all, I just noticed I have 4 facebook  likes on my store page. Do you know who has liked you? Does this go to facebook land somewhere? Any info on this would be great. Thanks

I'm not exactly sure how all that works, but anywhere that your cards are featured with the facebook icon, when someone clicks on the like, it will show up on your facebook as so-in-so likes your photo, status, or link.  One of those 'likes' that you got was mine and I also noticed your click-able link to GCU with a pic of one of your cards is featured on my facebook page with a note stating that I liked your link.  I could remove it if I wanted to, but we'll leave it for a while, as long as you keep creating these cute cards.  Grin

If you like a site or have something that you're working on, you can also click on share and that will allow you to post that article or link to your facebook page as well!  I don't have a whole lot of fans or friends as they call them at facebook, but it's building and the ones there are 'REAL!'   Shocked

Best always, Randy

P.S. - Just looked at my facebook page to try and figure out exactly how all this comes together and saw I was mistaken, was thinking of another artist Rachel - for some reason I was thinking Australia and thought that's where you're from...I'm losing it!   Grin  Anyway, I clicked on the fb like button and now you are featured at my facebook page too and I think I'll keep you as well!  All good GCU artists are keepers!!!  Tongue

Hi Randall, thanks for the explanation. I will figure this all out one of these days. I am from Upstate NY not Australia although it does sound nice. Smiley

Betsy,

Might as well get some more points out of this.   Grin

If you haven't set up a facebook page of your own, you should and keep it geared toward your art.  I do mostly, so now everyone knows what I do, but I also get involved in some political discussions and keeping in touch with some of my high school friends.  I kind of wish I hadn't got it going that way, but it is what it is!

I understand that you can start a business facebook page, but haven't checked into that yet.  Also a better way of promoting another artist and to be able to get some possible revenue from cards that your facebook friends purchase from that artist or for directing them to any artist at GCU would be to add a widget link to your facebook.  There are a bunch of forum threads and some tutorials at the GCU university site for that.  I'm going to do that someday - when i get a 'ROUND TUIT!'
 Roll Eyes
Best, Randy

So I have a question -  I had the Facebook Like hyperlink on my store page, but now it is gone.  I still have the Twitter hyperlink.  Any thoughts?  What did I do?

Could I have removed it - sorry if this sounds strange.

I noticed this the other day and thought how curious.  I have gone in a couple times to layout and design, I have the social networking widget.  I did check my global preferences and the GCU on Facebook option does say Yes.

Thanks for any help, Lynn

Still beats me!  Shocked  The "likes" aren't showing up on any Facebook page I'm aware of.  Can Mindy, Shaun or someone let us know where in cyberspace the "likes" are going.  The buttons don't appear to work the same as "like" buttons I'm familiar with on other sites.   Huh embarrassed Tongue Huh

'e'...the Like show up on the page of the person who LIKED the page...boy that's a mouthful!  When I LIKED your page it showed up on mine, so my friends could see that I LIKED YOU  Grin

That's why these buttons are nice, it exposes us to people we don't usually have exposure to on Facebook.
