Waiting is agony!
Apr 11th, 2011, 6:00am

*sigh* I'm so excited to get my store up and running. I have 36 cards pending and adding more each day. I've tried to make sure my title, keywords and categories all match. I hope the effort pays off. I can't imagine having to wait another 14 days fixing small inconsistencies. I know it says it can take up to 14 days. Is that the norm?

Hi Jannina! I love your card! Beautiful artwork!  I think some have been waiting 3 weeks but I did just have a card or two approved in the 2 week window.  I know it's tough to wait but hang in there!

Hi there

The norm is usually three weeks if peek time a bit more, there are so many of us Smiley and they check every detail, which is good, rare for something to get through that is not, so it's a really good system

If however there are errors on anything, you don't wait another 14 days for them to
be re-accepted, that is almost done immediately or the next day depending on the working times.

So if anything has gone wrong that bit is fast Cheesy phew... hard I know to wait but
the quality and spelling etc is all checked, even a fuzzy photo now and then will be picked up,
so all good, we know how difficult it is to wait Cheesy but you have to just plug away and eventually
zoooom they are all there and reviewed.

Your card that is there already in your store is beautiful Smiley

Hugs and huge good luck

Hi Jannina, I was going to reply the same thing as Moonie. Don't get discouraged, I am new to this as well and am learning real fast what helpful folks the reviewers are. I want to thank you for the things you have posted on your blog. Very informative. I could spend all day with the flower power!!! Best of luck with your store.

Hi Jannina-  I agree with both Wendy and Tanya.  Turn around times for my cards are closer to 3 weeks right now.  If you have a card returned, once your edits are made and resubmitted, approval has only taken me hours or the next day.  Passover, Easter and Mother's Day holidays are coming up and Graduation is right around the corner so the submission are high.  Hang in there, the approvals will come !!!!!

I definitely can relate, after my first card was approved, after the first 7 days I was anxiously checking every day for approvals.  It can be discouraging but 7 -14 days is not the norm from my experience right now and from other forums that I have read. Doreen in another post gave a good suggestion which is to focus on getting new cards submitted as it helps to keep your mind off those that are pending.  It sounds like your already doing this - good luck !

Thank you all for the encouragement. I just wish I had found out about GCU far before the holidays. Oh, well. In the meantime I am learning so much from every post I read in the forums.

Betsy> I know. I love finding those free resources. It has been such an issue for me to find resources that allow commercial use. Enjoy them. I keep plugging away at it. Each time I find one, I post it on my blog.

Take care,

Hi again Jannina,

I only had a chance to look over the plaid site but it looks like great fun.

Since you are sharing resources I thought I'd share some of mine with you too. Smiley

I have lots of links to other fascinating programs but don't know how to test to see if they are safe.
Anybody know how to check programs before downloading?   undecided

Thanks ahead, Nancy H.  Grin

I post free commercial use resources on my Fan Page every week.  Thursday is a download for Gradients, Brushes, Styles or more.  Yesterday I posted a link to hundreds of beautifully created Gradients.  Sunday's are Tutorials and now on the GCU Community Blog Mondays are the Dash of Inspiration...Cup of Creativity posts where I post links to more wonderful goodies for designing.  This past Monday was two great downs of Hi-Res brushes.  Go find them on the GCU Community Blog!
