Karen, Your cards are funny and they WILL sell.  You've only been on board since February, and this is just the first of April.  It takes several months usually for sales to start.  Don't be discouraged by that.  Keep producing cards and getting them on the site.  There are really good marketing tips available from experienced sellers.

Nadine and Cheryl are right.   It will take at least 3 to 4 months for search engines to find you.  I also agree that specific occasion cards sell better than blank cards, but you have some of each so I wouldn't worry about it.  
 
Look at it this way...you only have 26 cards in a sea of over 400,000 on GCU alone.  You have to get them found.  You have a very unique collection, so try a Victorian Blog.  Bring in your GCU cards and if you are a member of other places such as; Zazzle, post other artists Victorian work to draw traffic and create those much needed backlinks.

First of all, I agree with the others that your cards are great!  
 
As far as making them more specific and putting verses inside is concerned, I think there is definitely a difference between the UK market and the US. So, as GCU are shortly going to be distributing from the UK, which should encourage sales in the UK, I would advise you to make some with and some without verses or specific purposes.
 
I did a small survey last year about whether blank cards are preferred in the UK and it confirmed what I thought - ie that they are!

So if you make one blank and one with a verse, that will quickly double the number of cards in your shop!
 
Just to encourage you, my sales began to pick up quite sharply after 6 months and then again in my second year though things seem slow at the moment so I expect that's affecting you too.

Hi Karen - glad you found my blog interesting. It's a bit of a this and that but it seems to be quite well read!
 
I presume the prices will be in £ instead of $ but the main thing is that the shipping times and costs will be lower, which should encourage UK customers.
 
I've been helping with the testing of the system and there are still a few issues with the packaging but I'm sure they'll be ironed out very soon and am looking forward to GCU cards being more readily available in the UK!  
 
PS thank you very much for your testimonial - I love doing fairies, dragons, pirates and all things childish. Brings out the Big Kid in me, I expect!
