multiple univers(e)s
Mar 19th, 2011, 7:52pm

So, I was on my friend's computer and I went to go to GCU and I forgot the "e" when I typed in greetingcardunivers.com, and a greeting card site came up (not ours!) It looks to be run by or sponsered by harlmark. At first I thought it was us, with a new homepage as I had not been there in a while. Doesn't this seem like some kind of fraud? GRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!! Angry

All I could find is one for Fine Art America. Was this the one? http://fineartamerica.com/art/all/univers/greeting+cards

Quite legit for them to do so but perhaps a little sneaky if intended on purpose. They don't have a lot on offer though.

I typed in what you suggested:  www.GreetingCardUnivers.com and all I get is a site which advertising that domain name being available.

GCU did get a new front page about a month or so ago, are you sure it wasn't us ?  Grin Grin Grin

Oh that's safe. It just selling a domain name....there's no actual business using that name.

These cards that came up on the Fine Art America site are from folks on THAT site who used "univers(e)" in their key words on artwork offered for sale there. Similar to a GCUer using "fine art" in ones keywords.

Quite right Ernestine!

Still, there's not enough there to worry about.

Hi Rod,

The link that you put up sent me to a site that has a lot of sponsored and affiliate links to other greeting card providers and pod sites, even eBay. So I think that it is a internet marketing portal. undecided

Same link as I mentioned.  This is not a separate site.  Look under the big GreetingCardUnivers.com you see Inquire about this domain name.

This IS NOT a greeting card store, it's a LANDING PAGE for a un-assigned domain name with sponsored shopping links that are only search results based on greeting card.

No threat, no competition, no store...it's called DOMAIN PARKING
