Hope everyone is having a nice day so far.  
I have been doing some research before creating some new patriotic theme cards.. and even after all my research, I am still a little unsure,  and I was hoping if anyone can please advise, I would be so appreciative.  
 
Originally the questions started with theme of "Marines" after reading here on the forum and finding the very informative "Zazzle document" with a very great description of what is not permitted to use/display.  I got SCARED.. to even attempt.  
 
Then I thought,  I'll alter my idea a bit and make something more general patriotic. I was wondering if someone can clear up a few questions for me though. In the "Zazzle" document regarding "Marines"  it does not specify if we are permitted to use these following words/phrases
 
"Semper fidelis"
 "Semper fi"
"Always Faithful"
 
Is "USA" or "Proud American"  allowed to be used as well..  
(I do see it everywhere used ... but now I am being very careful)
 
And in regard to keywords.. I know that we can not use any reference to "Marines" in our Card Image, Title, inside wording, but does this also apply to keywords?
(for example if using "Semper fi" if allowed.... can you put "marines" in the keywords?
 
Also... does the same of all the "Marine" listed no- no's apply to Army, Navy.....

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide these links.. I have read them and it did help a little.. the whole thing kind of makes me anxious to scrap the whole idea in one way.. who needs the stress.. of "getting in trouble"  
 
I read something in these links about not using the colors or usa flag..  
I'm still confused.. are we not allowed to incorporate the word "USA" or the flag or colors red/white and blue, stars and stripes on our image? Why I am so confused by this I have no idea..  
Wouldn't the flag and colors be general referring to our "military" and not one in specific. YIKES.
I'm getting a headache.. lol.
 
So they have trademarked Semper Fidelis? and also "Always faithful" I have searched in the past for other trademarking themes online in the us trademark system.. I wonder if we can search for these phrases there or somewhere else too?   It just seems strange that everywhere that they list what phrases, words, and such NOT to use they don't specifically refer to "Semper Fidelis" "Always faithful" I would think that would be an obvious thing to list.

Hmmm, I'm not sure. But I do know that the music industry has been getting better about licensing. Maybe the record label licensed the use (I hope)
