Judy_139270 Gold Member artist Posts: 870	Drop in Sales - is it just me? Mar 18^th, 2011, 2:22am Anyone else experiencing a sudden drop in sales. after a great first two months of the year? I thought it was just me but then I found someone had started a thread about it over at Zazzle and almost everyone said their sales had suddenly plummeted this month.

Since Christmas and Chinese New Year my sales have been down, down, down....very disheartening but that's the way the cookie crumbles it seems. Cheryl

My sales are up. I have gone from one every now and then, and very far between them ----to one ever day or every other day.

My Z sells were pratically non-existant, they are up too. But that is not saying a whole lot, since I have been there since 2008 and have never made a pay out. I am still only getting a once in a while sell there.

My sales have dropped too. Glad to hear I'm not the only 1.
January sales were amazing, (groundhog's day, chinese new year/tet, valentine's)
February was good a bit better than 2010 (chinese new year/tet, valentine's in the beginning. norooz, easter in the later half.)

We're halfway thru March and the sales are dribbling in 1 by 1 - under half the sales of March 2010- still time to catch up, but worrisome. (Norooz, April Fools, Easter & Fathers' day,) This March Slump has me worried as March is usually 1 of my better months. While April has traditionally been 1 of my worst months since I joined.

I only mention the holidays because that's the bulk of my sales on GCU in almost any month.

As far as my Z store goes - I haven't been there a year yet - and I haven't figured out what sells or how to sell there. So I'm just amazed if someone finds me. -although I did sell enuf randomly to get a check. Since Jan just more daily views then before but no corresponding sales. Sigh.

I agree that sales at GCU have slowed a bit. I've gone from several sales a day to one sale a day or every other day...though I've had a couple of bulk invitation orders this month which helps to make up for it.

I have really noticed Zazzle sales are down, but I figured that was due to the massive changes they are making. I'm a Proseller at Zazzle and this month has been very slow. I'm guessing customers are being affected by some of the glitches and issues that we store owners are experiencing. If you own a Zazzle store, keep tuned in for the next month. The email notifications of critical changes has intermittently worked and they have a change coming up that once you receive your email you'll have 30-days to make the changes. So, log in to your store every day for the next month and see if there are messages on your dashboard. That's the only way to be sure you won't get lost in the mass switch over Wink

Zazzle is even worse. I was making several sales a day on Zazzle, now I'm lucky to make one sale every few days. I've uploaded over 200 new cards to my store this year so far, so I'm not sure what's going on.

Reply #8 - Mar 18^th, 2011, 8:46am I seem to get a spike in sales whenever there is a 'free shipping' with 5 or 10 card purchase promo, or a percentage discount promo. That's what I like to take advantage of when purchasing cards from a consumer standpoint.
