GCU Forum - Number of card designs

I haven't had any cards reviewed yet but I was just reading that I can't use the same picture(design) more than three times? I wanted to do different categories (birthday,Mothers Birthday, get Well, Invitation & so on). How can I can I do this and stay within the rules? Thank you, Terry

Hi

and welcome

You can use the same design in three catagories...

Mother's Day - Mom, Ant, Mum etc
Birthday - Mom, Mum, Nana etc
Get well

Or you will be flooding yourself with the same design I guess

Mind you I usually get this question wrong and I know others
are really good who do the same thing

but that's the way
I always read it, then forget Tongue

Also the forum can be rather naughty, when you post it will
error ignore it

it has posted, just go back to gcu forum and
it should show up, or you will get frustrated at the double,
trebble posting Grin

You can take the exact same front-of-card design to make three separate cards (different insides, which should make different categories).

Or, you can take the exact same design and add different text to the front, making different front-of-card designs - and make as many different cards as you'd like depending on how creative you are with the text!

Thank you everyone, I guess my post is a little confusing

What I want to do is use the same photograph with different categories (Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday mom, Happy Birthday sister, Get Well, You Are Invited etc.). I should be within the limitations because the catergory that I print on the front will be different but the photo will be the same?

Hi Terry
Welcome to GCU.
I always use my card fronts for as many different categories as I feel the image is suitable for, whether it`s 1 or 101! I always also upload the blank (no text) version so people can use it for anything else they need it for. It doesn`t look too nice on your store front or in "new cards" though if there are dozens of the same image, so unlike some artists who upload in batches of the same image, I upload in batches of the same occasion - so at least the repeat images are not all shown together and make a more attractive & varied display.
