Japan's Disaster
Mar 12th, 2011, 10:11am

I would like to propose some type of non-profit program to assist in Japan's tragedy.
Maybe something like artist's specially designed cards and a very small % of the sales or profit go to the American Red Cross. Or something like that. I realize that we are talking about a product that has a very small profit margin, but I figure we have a large resource of designers. We can use that as a starting point.

I'm not really sure how the other companies Zazzle, Cafe Press etc... had with their success of non-profit campaigns. Just thought I'd throw the thought out there. I must admit that I vaguely remember some of these programs limited the artists creativity particularly with Hurricane Katrina. But if we let the creativity flow and not restrict designs to a mere logo, then I bet the program will be a success.

I can just imagine some of the beautiful designs that the artists will come up with!

It's a nice idea.  I would surely donate some card designs for the cause.  I remember designing cards for the troops quite some time back, but it felt good to be able to help somehow.  Praying for Japan.

I think this is a wonderful idea as well. I will be creating some products to participate in Zazzle's relief project as well. I would design special cards for this idea on GCU also. I agree the amount donated per card would be in comparison, but every little bit helps! s!
