Long Approval Time
Feb 7th, 2011, 8:51pm

How long should it take to have a card approved? I submitted 6 Valentine's Day cards over a week ago and they've yet to be approved. How long should approval take? I don't remember other cards taking this long.

Sad
Yes, it does take a while and 5 or 6 days isn't enough time to get something in before a holiday.  I'm not sure what the exact apporval time is at the moment, but could easily be two weeks or more.  Before major holidays it could even be longer.  All depends on how many submissions and the content as some cards require a little more research on the part of the reviewers.
It's always best to get your submissions in well before a holiday and suggestion is at least a couple of months so that keywords can get into the search engines and bring your cards up on that particular holiday shopping period.  Remember too, that most people are shopping cards weeks in advance of the holiday.
Sorry about this holiday, but don't feel too badly, I did the same thing and just had a few Valentine's cards approved which I doubt will get much attention this close to the day.  At least i have a few more ready for next year!

The approval time can be frustrating but I always figure if I don't get my card approved in time for this years holiday.. I'll be set for next year.  Sometimes I use the inspiration of the coming holiday to create new items for next year... I have to say, despite the wait, I really appreciate the input I receive from our reviewers. The suggestions they provide really make a difference!  Thanks Reviewers for your time and patience...!

I submitted V-day card in early January that were approved the day after Valentine's Day. oh well, my fault for posting them so soon before the holiday.  And I had a number of errors that had to be fixed so that added an extra day or two.

At first I thought I was being singled out for having made errors on designs, too close to edge, wrong categories, etc. and as 'punishment' my submitted cards were not a priority. But I am sure this is not the case.  (I need not to be so paranoid)

I now keep a folder on my desktop with designs that are awaiting approval, in case I need to adjust them.
And I have learned to keep the emails received that inform me what to fix (tags, category, title, etc).
After they are approved, THEN I can take care of organizing them on my pc, and delete the  email.

Like you said, they will be there for next year.

Except for year specific (ie Class of 2011)

I realize this is a rather old thread, but I just thought I'd mention that I'm still waiting on cards submitted on the 27th of February.
It's not  like I'm holding my breath or am dependent on income from selling here, but geez, that's 16 days and counting. These are not complicated cards. Happy Birthday & Happy Easter in multiple languages on identical images.
I thought there were two new reviewers?
If we're this backed up, maybe if I start working on Christmas cards now, they'll be approved in time.
Just sayin'.
