Here is another holiday site that is wacky but fun with lots of history and food for creative thought.  http://www.brownielocks.com/index.html

Find her traditional holiday information useful and interesting and like that she gives sources.  You can turn off the music.  Here is the Easter page: http://www.brownielocks.com/easter.html

Question for you in the UK, Do you still celebrate "Egg Saturday"?  Just curious.

I lived in UK for the first 30 years of my life and this is the first time I've ever heard of 'Egg Saturday'

Thanks Eve,  Here is more information on "Egg Saturday."  Apparently it is also called "Shrove Saturday" or "Egg Feast Day"  and is part of the 4 day festival before Easter called "Shrovetide."

I remember Shrove Tuesday, but not Shrove Saturday. I remember it because we always had pancakes that day.

Thanks Lj. This is a great resource.  It's fun to use, too, the way it is laid out.  Smiley
