Military Category Question

Hello reviewers extraordinaire!

I am making Patriotic Christmas cards and I don't find relation-specific categories for these. So, I just want time to fix them if I get this wrong.

This card
A Patriotic Christmas Card For Son in the Military

would go:

Holidays » Christmas Cards » For Family Relation Specific » Son

and here?

Holidays » Christmas Cards » Patriotic » For Military Service / Veteran

I'm going to pass this up the line to see if we want to add a relationship specific subcategory to

Thanks for asking Doreen. I did some of these for son, dad, etc. in 2009 and they are lost in the general Christmas>>Patriotic category. Don't think there was even a veteran or soldier category then. Seems like there would be a good market in all holiday categories for cards with close family in the service. When my Granddaughter, Marine, was in the Middle East, I was always looking for something specific to send.

In my own mind, these categories were also sensible for these types of cards, so please add....

Brother-in-Law
Sister-in-Law
Grandchildren
Goddaughter and Godson

ALSO...Should these cards be ONLY in these new categories, so because they are relationship specific, may the 2nd category be that which matches in Family Relation? I'd like to get them all right at once Grin

Hi, Doreen,

These cards should only be placed in these Christmas subcategories because they are specific to the relationship AND military service. The cards could also be placed in an appropriate Collections subcategory, such as Collections---Patriotic---US.

Thanks for following up on this, Doreen. You're right; it's always best to do this early. It speeds the review process for you and for those artists awaiting approval behind you.

The last is because I have a friend who looked at GCU over the holidays for cards to send to a son of her boyfriend. I spoke to her last week and asked, what did she want those types of cards to say and Like Family to Me was her answer. I think it makes sense and that there are lots of instances like this; neighbors who watched a little kid grow up and go to war, kids of friends and so on.
