To GCU Staff: refunded cards question

Are artists notified when GCU has to refund cards?  I have never received a notice and would like to know if my cards were not satisfactory to a customer and it was my design or text that was the cause of the refund.

I am glad you brought this up. Smiley  
I was struck by the same thought when I read the other thread on keywords.
I have worked a lot more recently on designing with accurate color, that is a close match to the colors the customer sees onscreen and the printed product. I would love to know if color inaccuracy was a reason for return, or any other aspect, as I would not want a 'faulty' product representing my work.  
(I have had to modify some of my earlier cards to correct issues.)
 
Any chance of this GCU?

Private notices are made to artists if the refund was the result of a mistake on a card, such as misspellings, edge allowance problems, etc. The card is returned for editing to the artist.
 
BTW, the recent discussion on keywords re: faux ribbon or ribbon-like was the result of a customer returning a card they thought had a real ribbon element on the card front. In that case, the artist was advised to make it clear in the keywords and Artist Notes that the element was digital. We now give this advice to all artists as part of the review process.

Thanks for passing along this information it is very helpful. I did read the forum on the use of ribbon as a keyword and at the time wasn't really clear as to what the problem was but now I understand and this will be of a great help.
