Photo Cards / Private Gallery
Jan 8th, 2011, 6:43am

First I want to thank the Review Team for their efforts. I recently designed some cards for a fund raiser and currently they reside in my private gallery, which is fine. However they are photo cards and I upload the transparent file so that the customer could upload their own photos with out my assistance. I tried to "purchase" one to see how the process flowed and it appears that being able to insert the photo isn't an option. Is this not an option for the private gallery?

Hi.  GCU does not offer the option to add an image to the "front" of a card through the site.  Photo cards at GCU require the artists assistance.

The buyer would need to email/send their images directly to you so that you could insert the image into your card design using your software (Photoshop, etc.) programs.  Then you would submit their new photo card to your Private Gallery-Store.

Hope that helps.  Smiley

We began giving artists the option to upload transparent files not too long ago, however this is still in the beta stages and customers are not yet able to add their images to the card without the artist's assistance.  We're looking into developing the tools to allow customers to add their images directly into the card

Thank you Shaun I didn't know this option was being added to GCU.  Sounds wonderful.  Thank you for the information.  Smiley
