Hyperlinks (Read 904 times)

Karen_137659 Senior Member artist Posts: 333	Hyperlinks Jan 4^th, 2011, 11:32am Is there a reason why my hyperlinks keep linking back to GCU??? <a href="url">Link Text</a> is the correct code, right? I know it's been awhile since I coded anything, but am I leaving something out???

Karen,

Are you are speaking about the link on the top of your store under the banner where your proceeds go? I've only had a link go to the main page of a store when something I entered was not correct.

I don't know if this is the correct Orange Avenue link, but it should look like this:

<a href="http://www.orangeavenuemusic.com">Orange Avenue</a>

Thanks for the replies. I do indeed have <a href="http://www.orangeavenuemusic.com">Orange Avenue</a> but... what shows up in the url field of the browser www.greetingcarduniverse.com/orangeavenuemusic.com, really weird and directs me back to GCU site. No I know why I stopped coding.

I was surprised to see the new look - I knew it was coming. It looks great, it's refreshing, nice change.
Thanks for your help guys. I'm gonna go back and check it again.

Thanks again y'all. I copied and pasted the code Doreen provided and I tested it and it finally worked. You had the magic code Doreen, thanks. I even had my husband look at it and he retyped it and it still didn't work last night. I must have left out a dot, period or something or just another gremlin. But the way things were going yesterday.... I am not surprised.
