I just ordered 10 of my own Christmas cards without the glossy finish, we will see how it turns out. I will let you all know as soon as I know, myself. Cross your fingers! I just didn't want to take a chance on the glossy seeing how I really need to send these out to family members. This is the first cards I have ordered here. Hope it's a good first impression.  undecided

P.S. I have switched all my cards over to the matte finish in my store. I do not want to take any chances on my customers being unhappy with my cards and thinking it is my fault in any way. If this issue is resolved, I will change those that were glossy back.

Rebecca,

I don't know where you are (assuming in the U.S.).  10 days seems like a long time to me.  I ordered cards on a Sunday night and they arrived to all recipients and myself by Wednesday.  This has been the case every time I ordered.  I am in California which may make a difference, but I would inquire through customer service if I was you and have them track the order.

Hello all,
Recently received an order of cards, 30, packaged beautifully, all logos in tact.  Some smell, but unless I was keeping up on this thread wouldn't have even thought to sniff them.  My big concern was the folding and complete exposure of logos...that has been satisfied (for me at least).  The fold is a tad off, but not something that I am overly concerned about.  The color quality rich and exact, the packaging superb.  Thanks gcu and printing partner, I think we have a winner here!
Nicely done, superb job. Cool

I ordered and received 25 glossy cards and they are BEAUTIFUL in every way. I would not have thought about smelling the cards, but did because of reading the issues here. To me, they have a scent of newness and that of being "just printed", not overly offensive.

AND...they only took 3 days as have all of my card orders......to Wisconsin.

Good job and Merry Christmas!

Can anyone tell me how long it is supposed to take to get your cards? I ordered mine on Dec. 10th hoping to get them in time to send them out before Christmas, but it doesn't look like they are going to make it. It's been 11 days today.  cry

I did finally get my cards later today. They look beautiful. I didn't get the glossy finish and I am very happy with them. I will be sending them out tomorrow. The folds were good, the color was fine, the logo on the back was perfect. They did have just a slight smell, especially when you open up the card, but who in the world is going to put their nose to the card and smell besides me? That's just crazy. The smell wasn't really bad anyway, it just smelled like something new. I am impressed and will be ordering some more of my cards. They gave me 11 envelopes instead of 10 (1 extra) I don't know if that was a mistake or what, but I like it. If for some reason I made a mistake it's nice to know that I am covered. I just wanted to say great job!   You have made a great first impression on me.

I just made a connection on the smell issue from reading the other post.  I don't know whether this will help.  The order that had just a faint smell was my large order.  It was packed in a box.  The orders that had a strong or very strong odor were for three or four cards and were packed tightly in the little sealed mailers.  The single card orders that I had GCU mail to Marie had hardly any smell at all.  Could it be the packaging?  If so could breathable packaging help.  I know it's available, I used it, when freelancing I literally plastisized my artwork with Chrystal clear, then a light coat of matt varnish and to meet deadlines would send it out smelling just as bad as these cards.  My art directors would tell me there was no odor, I was worried about sending the work out like that.

Thanks for the feedback Rebecca!  Sorry for the delay in receiving the cards.  Typically delivery will be within 3 to 5 business days, however during the holiday season we do sometimes see anomalies with first class mail.
