Hi
I don`t know who/what Gable & Lombard is/are, but if it`s a known celebrity, copyrighted image/person, cartoon/work of art etc then that`s probably the reason.

Hi Robin,

Being celebrities, it poses a copyright issue.  You can email the reviewer and ask specifics on the rejection which might help you.  If it was that title or that you used the celebrity names on the card, in the title or keywords you can change those.  If it is because it is too realistic or a painting directly made from one of their movie posters, you may be out of luck.

Any time you use a person, his picture,or name, you must have a model /property release. I don't know what GCU requires, but with stock agencies that is the way they work.So I suspect the copyright is what is in question. Since both of these people are long dead, and no longer active, the copyright may have expired, but I don't know how to find out about that,so if I were you,I wouldn't worry about doing a celebrity, but design another of a different subject. You certainly don't want to get ino a copyright dispute.

OK I get it Doreen thank you.. It had no names the headline said "you're a Classic" and it looks pretty realistic, but you can see it was a rendering. Ill just scratch that one. But it wood have been so nice for V-Day embarrassed

The reason most likely is that you had to have done the rendering from a photograph (movie poster or publicity pix0), as you would not have been around to actually see Gable and Lombard.  The copyright in question is probably that of the original photographer.
