I think we ought to have a place where customers can check a box on the order form if they would like to recieve e-mails of sales (and sellers too). I think we would get more repeat customers if they knew about free shipping and other special deals.

Great idea! In April 2009 I joined GCU and about 6-months later decided to put those cards I'd created for GCU also on Zazzle though I really didn't think people would buy cards from Zazzle...

Boy was I wrong Grin

I sell cards every day at Zazzle and I love that because even when Zazzle has a big sale like Black Friday I make more on my cards than the normal commission here. I love GCU and it is the store I promote as Salon of Art Greetings...I just hope that as GCU continues to grow as a business, they take us artists along and don't leave us behind in the trenches.

More advertising via email would be great and also on the Wish List is the ability for the artists to 'grab a coupon link' in HTML with our referral code to be able to help bring new customers and help advertise the sales through our own sites.

We do send promotional emails on a regular basis to shoppers. Twice a month during normal times (monthly promotion and monthly calendar reminder) and more often leading up to a big holiday. This month alone we have sent a promotional email each week.

We are working on developing other topics of communications (ie: purchase satisfaction, more you might like, etc.).

This is in addition to all of the automated reminder emails they receive prompted by the dates they've set up in the reminder service for not just GCU but all of our other BigDates Solutions' sites.

It may be that artists don't receive them. I get them on my Member Account email at GCU which I have so that I can create a Seller's Widget with other artist's cards or an occasion and keep my own store widget with my cards on it...gives me 2 widgets

That Member Account I do get emails and Mindy is correct they are very frequent this time of year.
