Checking old cards... inner verses

Since last changing printers, I have been bothered by the fact that now 'some' of our inner verses are displaced. Sometimes a verse that we had previously spaced nicely with double spacing between lines, now has one word of a line displaced, single spaced, below its intended line. Looks terrible! With over 5000 cards in stock, it is simply too much to consider to going back through all my cards, one at a time, and checking them all out. So overwhelming... What I have been doing is whenever I see an order for an older card, I go and check on the inner verse. If I see there is a problem, I fix it... hoping that I have caught it before it goes over to the printer.
Well, I caught one of those this morning. Thanksgiving to Sister. I went in and changed the verse spacing. Seeing as how I had a whole series of this card image, I went back and checked them all. Fixed them all, Gave better titles and keywords while I was there, and even found a couple typos in the inner verses! Shocked

Then it struck me, this is what I should be doing: Do one Holiday at a time. If I do the holiday that I am currently working on new stock for, it just might even give me some ideas for new cards too. One holiday, or one category at a time, is somehow less daunting. I can handle that. How about you? Wink

I recently went through a bunch of my old cards revamping them. Some needed a tweak on the image and some just needed a better title or keywords. I plan to set aside time every so often to take a look at older cards.

Hi Sue,

I'm going to look at my older ones too, however I wanted to mention this most likely has nothing to do with the printer, Mindy posted a few months ago that they changed/fixed the alignment issue we were having...

I imagine that is the issue and your suggestion to review our cards is a great suggestion...thanks!

Hi Evelyn,

Just to clarify, I was referring to the inner verse alignment which in the past we artists would manipulate in order to get the placement we wanted. That was on the wish list and was recently fixed to auto-center. This alignment being messed up has nothing to do with the printer (in my opinion), it has to do with older cards which were manipulated with extra line spacing and so forth.
