Just keep in mind that when you put cards into your private gallery that they aren't available for customers to see in a general search...they won't be visible if someone does a search for "birthday niece" or "Christmas Hippopotamus", for example.  The only way they are visible is if someone goes directly to your store and clicks on the "view my private cards" link, or if you send someone a direct link to the private gallery card(s).
 
I use the private gallery when I create a custom card as I can "waive review" and have the card available for my client almost immediately.  I also use it if I want to order one of my own cards and don't want to have to wait for it to go thru the review process.  (In that case I always upload the same card as usual so that it will eventually be approved, and available to the general public.)  Getting a card out of your private gallery requires a request to administration.  We, as artists, can not do it ourselves.
 
Just keep the above in mind.  The private gallery is a good feature providing you use it to your advantage.
