Problem With Card Order
Oct 4th, 2010, 2:26pm

I just received my card order and there was a bit of a problem with it. I ordered cards with the glossy finish. On the card fold the glossy finish is flaking off. It's rather messy and leaves a dull looking edge you can see on the front of the card. I'll go ahead and keep these cards but I thought you might want to ask your printer about this.

It seems like every day some one is posting a problem with the printing and quality of the cards.  I'm beginning to get concerned, I haven't heard anyone say that their order was perfect and wonderful lately.  Is someone who was satisfied with the quality of a recent order willing to speak up?  I'd like to believe that the problems are the exception and not the rule...but I've only been seeing complaints.

Rita,

I ordered a card of mine (the tiger painting in my private gallery) and had the card sent to my husband via GCU and the Post Office for his birthday.

Not only did the card arrive on time, but the printing, folding and overall quality of the card was exceptional.  The card in real-life looked EXACTLY as it does here on the screen.

It was PERFECT and I was very proud to see my card arrive printed so beautifully.

Here is the card:

I agree with you, I'm trying to ignore so much of the negative input from the cards being received so that I don't worry about what all these cards I'm selling might look like when they reach the customers...seems to me they are exceptions, perhaps too many, but exceptions none-the-less.

That's good to hear Doreen, I've sent out cards to family members too, but since they don't live in the same states I wasn't able to see them.  Of course no one has said anything bad, but I'm not sure that they would if they thought the card wasn't up to par.

BTW... GRRRReat card!  (to paraphrase another great tiger)

Thanks Audrey. Smiley

I sure hope this was some kind of a temporary glitch. 14 of the 15 cards I ordered had the gloss flaking off of the card fold.

We received a few test orders that had this issue as well.  I brought these over to our printer today and they said that they had noticed the issue as well, and that it was resolved.  Please let me know if you would like us to reprint and resend the cards.
