Help! My storefront is not showing up!

Since yesterday evening my storefront page is blank, apart from my banner! Shocked

I thought it mght be a temporary glitch but it is the same this morning.

When I click on the link to my store, the page flashes on the screen momentarily and then disappears, leaving just my banner and a blank page.

Please can someone help as soon as possible. In the meantime, I'll try to find a way round getting to the cards that I was planning to promote on my blog this morning but I don't suppose potential customers would be motivated to do that! Sad

Thanks, Tanya - that's what I'm seeing too!

But just to make life even more difficult, there seems to be something strange going on when I use the search button in the 'Manage Cards' page.

I wanted to find a Christmas card that I uploaded last year but when I used 'Christmas' as the keyword, only 120 of my cards came up and the one I wanted wasn't there.

So I tried the 'Search by Category' where it said I had 234 cards in the Christmas category. This time 190 cards came up - but still not the one I was looking for.

In the end, I found it by searching the 'Holidays' category - and when I checked, I had put it in the Christmas/General category. So why didn't it come up when I searched for it? Sad

Reply #6 - Sep 17^th, 2010, 6:09am I've just tried it using Internet Explorer and it is all back to normal, which suggests that something has gone wrong with how it displays in Firefox. My stats show that Firefox is by far the most used browser in visits to my store, so I hope someone will be able to fix this as soon as possible.

Judy,

As far as I can see, something in your banner/header is throwing things off. It seems to be lying on top of the header module not in it. I did see you have your statcounter code in your header, maybe that's attributing to what you see in Firefox?? I don't see it happening with other stores who have a banner.

Reply #8 - Sep 17^th, 2010, 7:25am Judy, your store is not the only one with the issue and I only saw the problem viewing through Firefox (with the latest Firefox updates). When I put your store into Explorer, it came up fine. Shaun will have to look into it. I visited two other stores and they look just like yours through Firefox.

Thank you all very much for your replies. It feels a little bit better knowing it is not just me having this problem because, although I sympathise with the others, it doesn't look as if it's something that I have done to upset it!

Roley - thank you for your suggestion but my statcounter has been in there for several months so I don't think it's likely to be the source of the trouble. From another thread I've read that there have been some changes to the storefonts re testimonials. Maybe that has introduced a glitch which prevents the storefront displaying properly in Firefox?

Anyway, I hope it'll get fixed soon as, apart from anything else, I had to promote a different online store on my blog this morning, which wasn't what I'd planned!

I do believe Roley has it correct in that it looks as if your banner module has extended itself to cover the entire page. Pamela

I just removed my statcounter and it didn't make any difference - so I put it back again! I think we'll just have to wait and see whether Shaun can resolve this.
