Re:: Approval Process

Ok - I am not trying to complain. I am new and I have to say that I was quite excited about trying to sell my cards on Greeting Card Universe. I had heard good things about this site - in regards to they are giving Hallmark a run for their money because they offer a large selection of unique cards here.

But, I have to say - the approval process really does need tweeking. I am ok with waiting a few days to have my cards approved. But, I have cards sitting there that have been sitting there almost 2 weeks. I am thinking if I upload christmas holiday cards now - they might just be approved before the holidays? I think it needs to be addressed that the approval process needs to be improved that it doesn't take so long for cards to go through the approval process. This is going to be a real turn off for me. And will be a real turn off to other sellers/artists/designers who want to list here. If words gets out that it takes a minimum of 10 days before your cards are listed - they are going to think - forget it. I am starting to think that myself.

Now, what I don't understand is that a card/design is returned to me over and over for editing - when it could have been mentioned the first time - I fix the problems - and boom - it is done. I went on a trip for 3 days (away from my computer) and came back today - only to find that cards I edited earlier were returned to me for more editing. These are not things or more tweeking that I did before - they are bringing up totally new issues they have with the cards. This could have been mentioned the first time. Now - it is another 2 weeks before my cards are reviewed and processed. I have been uploading designs (like 10 a day) for about a week - I have about 70 cards waiting for approval - only 6 have been approved (since the middle of August mind you) and about 10 cards keep getting returned to me for this that and the other?

Now, I am just voicing my opinons and concerns. I am not trying to stir a pot - and I am sure these comments have been voiced before. So, please - I am not trying to get anyone upset. I am just wondering if Greeting Card Universe should seriously think about their approval process. I have never gone through such a process in all of the websites I am listed on? I have these designs listed on a couple of other sites - they print just fine and I have not had to constantly tweek and trim and remove this and remove that. One says I have to put text inside? I create blank cards. Where did it say I have to put text. I have many cards that don't have text and they didnt' get returned for that reason? I don't want to have text in it because I want to have blank cards in my store. I put them in the blank card categories to state so.   Shocked

It's cool on the triple Marlo.  It happens to just about... everyone at 1st..  The site seems as though it does not upload your post.. then...  it really did..  I have learned to just submit it once..  it spins for a while..  I go open a new window and viola... it is there..   Cool   No worries.

Thanks - I didn't want people thinking - geesh - what is up with her - complain once and leave it -  Smiley

Thanks - going through and editing them again - oh well. What can I do - if I want to be on here I guess I have to go along with the aches and pains too. Thanks for letting me vent though.
