Question about seller's commission and links
Jul 14th, 2010, 4:25am

If we advertise our latest sales on Facebook via the link on the e-mail notification, do we automatically earn referrel fees from that link?

Is there a link we can use for our card store that would earn us sellers fees? if it resulted in sales from other artists? Or do the widgets incorporate the code for sellers' fees?

Man this Proxy Error stuff on this forum is annoying!

Hi Marion,

If I remember correctly, the answer to your Facebook question is NO.  There is no referral attached to that posting.

You do receive referral fees and a cookie good for 30-days when you post either the Widget or the Sell this Card on your sites.  I use both to sell mine and other artists cards with great success on both counts.

Here are the links to the Wiki explanations for you:

Card Widget

Sell this Card

Definitely worth your time!!  Good luck!

thanks Doreen for replying so quickly. I will definitely take a look at those links - I didn't seem to be able to find them - but it's so hot here I think my brain is frying Cheesy Grin

You're welcome Marion!

How hot is it?  It's heating up for a heat wave this weekend here is my part of California and we'll see the first triple digits of summer.

The only place I've advertised my cards so far is when I make a sale I put it up on facebook.  I did make a commission when someone bought through that link... at least I think so.

Hi Marion,

You will receive seller fees if you use the Facebook links in your sales notification emails.

Thanks Shaun, I did not realize that, I have automaticly used the email sales notification to thank people for buying my cards, just hoping that the person may see it.  It seems everyone is on facebook now.

Good to know Shaun.  I thought when it was first offered, we did not get a seller's commission...guess I wasn't paying attention.  I too, like Norval, thank the customer for the purchase via Facebook.

That's great to know, Shaun.  I was also unaware that this had changed.  I'm glad the topic was brought up!  I will use these more often!  It also works for the seller link found on each card doesn't it?

Greetings!

Good to know!  I guess that I was unaware of this, too.

I had been rarely posting sales because I don't FB a lot, but I guess that this is incentive to post, post, post!
