Question in regard to "Note to Reviewer"
Jun 10th, 2010, 10:25am

Hello,
I really like the "Note to Reviewer" box which was added last week, but was wondering why you can't edit or add additional comments when a card is returned for edits.  Is that a programming thing or thought out for a specific reason?
I'm sure we can use the reply feature in our email notice of a cards return, but when we resubmit a card it would be nice to make note of our responses so we have those available in the card management window.
There's likely a very plausible reason for closing that dialogue upon resubmission of a card, but I'm just wondering.
Thank you,
Randall

I was also wondering why "Note to reviewer" becomes unavailable once the card is submitted. So if you forget to add the note or want to change it, you cannot add/edit it. I am sure there is a reason for doing it this way. Just wondering what it is.

Hi Randall,
I was wondering that, too.  For example, I just submitted a card in another language and the card was declined (637626), because it looked like it was a duplicate of another card (though the inside sentiment was different).  I felt I had to write somewhere, so I chose the artist's note box - I hope I did not do the wrong thing, but I felt I needed to clarify the card differences.  I guess we designers just have lots to say, right?!  Grin

Luci,

If you saved the email that came with the declined or returned for edits, reply directly to the reviewer there after resubmitting your card.  You can even if it's been a few hours as the reviewer may not have had a chance to relook the card yet.

Mindy posted a note to this same issue at another topic area stating that they closed the dialog box with the reviewer once the card was reviewed for that specific purpose, in that you can contact the reviewer directly through your email reply and when a card is waiting in resubmit mode, the reviewer will usually see their emails before the resubmitted card.  Tha's an open dialogue which is always a good thing too!
