Showing Off Our SOLD Cards
May 14th, 2010, 10:18am

Hey, how's everyone doing today?

I really appreciate the fact that I can show off my SOLD cards via FaceBook. Although it isn't perfect, it is really a handy feature and I thank you for that!

Along that line, it sure would be awesome if we could have a place/row on our own individual GCU home pages that shows our last four or five sales. I'd even give up a row of cards that are for sale for this type of feature.

I enjoy showing people what I've just sold, I think that it is a good marketing strategy, but it does take a little time in searching out the latest sold cards, gathering them altogether to show off in one place.

If we could have a code set up for this little goodie, that would be super!

Just sayin'!
Thanx!

DON'T KNOW WHY those other posts showed up!! Sorry!! Delete them! (HOW DO I DELETE THEM?)

Every time I tried to post this, it hung up...didn't realize they were actually posted!

Thanks!

The forum does a huge lag as you post, then you think it has not posted, so you refresh and then it has so you just posted a second, Tongue sometimes it looks like it's laged and not worked at all and you make a second post to find the first post turned up by itself lol........ its' a very naughty forum at times.

But every refresh or back forward etc will post another and another, I copy all my text now before I post incase it has not gone through, so I have not lost my text and saves me tripple posting when its badly behaved.  Grin Grin

We need a smiley with a slap stick for the forum

I like the facebook posting, too.  You can also post cards on facebook out of your store, although I haven't done that.

I really like the "sell this card" feature that allows you to put card thumbnails on blogs and websites.

It would be great if the thumbnails would have titles beneath them, the way the thumbnails do in our stores to make it easier for shoppers so they don't have to click on all of the thumbnails because they can't read the difference between Happy Birthday to my Sister and Happy Birthday to my Mother, etc., because of the small size.  Mindy or Shaun, is that in the works?   Smiley

Yep, those forum re-posts sure are annoying. Apparently GCU don't run the forum, it's out sourced, so can't fix it themselves....I sure wish someone would though. It happens every single time a thread is started. If you know about it then you can avoid it but a lot of members don't know about it so keep on hitting the send button creating multiple threads of the same thing. *shrug*

I like this idea: would be great if we could have a box for the latest card sold in our side bar on our storefronts. No dates of course. Just incase we hadn't made any sales recently. Or as a row of 5 like the featured cards. Either a single latest card or multiple sales box would be nice. Personally I like the single box -as I have months where I only seem to sell 1 design -so it wouldn't look right to have a row of cards featuring only 1 or 2 designs repeated. Would be great if they could change & reflect our latest sales automatically.

I aslo like the FB share  card feature on our Card OK'd or Sale E-mails. I do believe they help.

Good idea, Cherie!

I'd like the widget to be portable, so it could be posted other places as well.  Maybe just use the current widget with an option of showing recently sold cards?
