Red Add to Category Button?

Greetings!

Tonight while editing my cards and adding to my Featured Gallery, I see that there is a red button which reads, "Add to Category." What is this?

It looks like I should be able to move a card into a different category with this button, but I have yet to figure out how to do this. Anyone know anything about it? Anyone else see this too?

Holy Toledo! I got it to work. What???

Okay, I moved a birthday invite into the correct category, one of the cards that I had been asking to be moved since April 23. Now I have it in Birthday Invites --> Age specific --> Age 6, but it's still in Age specific --> Other as well. There must be a way to get it out of other and just keep it in Age 6.

Hmm...

Very curious, yes?

Okay in 'Manage Cards,' click on a category of cards that you want to manage and it should appear. If you're just on the main 'manage cards' page it's not there. Give it a try...perhaps it's not really there...and I didn't just move my cards...and I'll wake up and it will all be a dream...

I do see it! Thanks Penny! I'll have to go see if I have cards in the wrong categories and see if I can move them

Maybe this is GCU's way of letting us help clean things up, though sadly I think many of the cards that need moved are by artists who don't tune in to the forum.

Guess we'll find out soon if it is an error or a new addition Grin

I think that your mom was right. I'm just feeling hopeful about this since I've asked and asked to get a handful of cards moved. My mostly grunted self was becoming quite disgruntled after feeling ignored by the process.

I NOW have at least two WITNESSES of the RED BUTTON!

Did you try from the upload-text-add to category area?

I tried it from the 'edit card' page, but that doesn't seem to have changed, in that once the cards are approved, the categories can't be changed.

You're right, it's not the worst thing, but it's not the right thing either, so I'd like it to not be in 'other' anymore. Sigh... Well it's closer to where it should be. I'll be happy with this for right now. I'm sure that there will be a remedy to get the cards removed from the 'other' category.

Seems that might work if... it was already accepted into 2 categories.. but if only one.. then it might remove the card all together.. Hum.. A sacrifice is in order to find out perhaps...
