Hi, Mindy, Shaun, & co.,
 
I've sent e-mails about this but thought I'd post an alert here as well in case it gets seen first. It concerns a 10-card order from California for P!D#565237 which appears to have gone through without requesting the insertion of a photo - this would have been last night at 8:45, your time. I hope you can intervene.
 
I wish we had a way to stop this from happening. I believe the subject was broached in the not-too-distant past, an idea like a "brake" on a photo card order's completion before the photograph has been uploaded.

Hi Joan,
 
I had a customer a few days ago that ordered a custom photo card. He clicked on the 'request custom card by artist' and filled in the form. Then he went to the "add to cart" and put through the order. Sooooo, he told me he wanted a custom card and paid for uncustomized cards.
 
I am not sure, but perhaps there should a note that says something like "if contacting the artist about a custom design, please do not "checkout" until you have viewed the new custom design". Not worded correctly, but you know what I mean.
 
Perhaps there could also be a note on custom cards that clarifies that 'what you see is what you get'. If the card in the confirmation does not match the card they wanted (ie with customization), they need to cancel the order.
 
My customer got his order confirmation with the unaltered card shown. He assumed that the card would be printed with his image instead of the one shown.
 
Just a couple of thoughts.

Hi Ladies!
Part of the problem in these cases may be that at the very top of the window that opens when you click on the artist palette the 'cautionary note' to the shopper about this is not showing right now, it is cut off.
 
I think further measures definitely need to be implemented but also this problem above is not helping.

So, the situation is being dealt with, and we'll see what happens next. Meanwhile, Pam and Lisa, sorry if my response to your much-appreciated reactions was less than gracious! The alarm bells have stopped ringing, and I thank you for your input.
 
I knew, when I realized what had occurred, that it wasn't an isolated incident - there have been a few such reports on the forums.
 
I've been told that this isn't supposed to happen and that it's being looked into.

We have made adjusted the photo card categories to prevent checkout w/o customization.  ALSO we've asked the programmers to adjust the size of the Custom Request window so the top line is visible.  Thanks for the note  Smiley

The customer was able to place their order for the custom card that you created.  Thank you Joan for applying the customer's image to the card so quickly  Smiley.
