Wish List
May 2nd, 2010, 2:27pm

Hi Mindy and Shaun,
Remember all the "Wish List"s we've had in the past few years?  I would like to revisit one of the great wishes of your artists...  Now keep in mind that what I know about computer programming, I could write on a cigarette paper, okay?
I think my greatest 'unfulfilled' desire on GCU is for a better view of the Card's inner verse.  I'm sure you are very aware of the great view offered on another site that many of us belong to.  On that site, the customer can just hoover over the verse (and/or image) and it comes up much large and with great clarity.  Shocked This would be a dream-come-true if we could have such available on GCU... Is it possible, at this point in time?
Or does it require too much in resources?
It does seem a shame that some of our verses are actually too unreadable to ever be recognized by the public...
Thanks so much for listening.
Sue

I second that Sue,
I would love to see some improvements in this area too

I think I remember it was not a 'quick' fix or something to that effect last time it was discussed but good to bring it up again. Maybe it's possible now Smiley

On a another note thanks for the comments Sue Smiley Smiley

On the same subject - I would love it if when you are typing the verse it actually shows in the chosen font, the chosen size and placement on the card.  I go back and forth so many times because it looks so much different on the inside of the card page than it does on the composing page.

Well.. since we are wishing here..  I wish the text box window could be moved out of the way of the image.  It would be nice to view the image while writing verse.  Especially when using the same image for multiple uses-categories.   Smiley

I wish there was a way to "Fave" forum topics-tool use instructions and also other artists for future reference here on GCU.   I find myself spending so much time trying to find things-info written-artists etc.    Even to be able to e-m myself the page would be helpful.   Somehow..  topics get scattered in various places here and finding fellow artists whom inspire-show quality, friendly knowledge etc. is quite difficult the way things currently are..    Another site I have been on for years allows me to easily "Add to faves" or e-mail myself the article and "Watch list" fellow artists and I have really utilized those features over the years.

Yes..  I use the search here but it often does not pull up what I am looking for in the forums..   Exp.. "Wish List"  did not bring me to this page..   18 minutes of looking through the topics-posts-replies did..

Just me respectfully wishing..  since we are wishing here on this page   Smiley

Hi LJ,

There is a My Favorites on the forum up next to the notification, though there is a limit on how many your can favorite.  Or when that gets full you can do what I do and simply make a word doc and paste the link for the thread you wish to keep for reference.

Ahhh.. That's good to know..   The "Fave" feature right on site really saves much time and should be easy to get to the faves.    Gonna go try it now. Many Thanks   Smiley

Wishful me again here>  I think it would be nice for the viewers to see the "All Cards" page change before their eyes similar to the "Recently Sold" card section on the Home page.   No need to keep refreshing and such..  Make each page as interesting to the viewers as possible. Maximize the attention span from the stillness.
