1)  You can get 'clicks' and no or not as many 'visits' in your store when a customer hits on another artists card, the screen comes up for them to check out that card, and they will also see 4 other cards that are similar to the card they clicked on.  The four cards that are shown are not necessiaraly (sp!) the original artist's cards.  (Hence, if they click on one of your displayed cards, you get a click, but not an actual visit.)

Sounds confusing the way I described it, but try it yourself.  Go into anyones store, click on a card, and you will see what I mean.

2)  There is a thing out there in cyberspace called a crawler.  Sometimes it zeros in on your cards and clicks all over the place.  I recall one time I had something like 800 clicks and 3 store visits, or maybe it was 800 store visits and 3 clicks, something odd like that.  It was a "crawler".  Crawlers aren't harmful, in fact I think they might make your searchability go up.

Hope this makes a little sense...lol....Linda

Clicks are registered to a card when the card is clicked on in an internal or external search, or when a card shopper clicks on your card when browsing a category. Clicks are registered to your store when card shoppers visit your storefront.

Search engines crawl the Internet with software called a spider to index web pages. This spider software can register as a click or hit. Linda's right; while these aren't shoppers looking at your cards, it's good when a search engine crawls your pages. There's no way of knowing whyyour page got a hit (card shopper or search engine) unless you install a site tracker.
