New - Third Party Sales Setting
Apr 13th, 2010, 6:46pm

We have added a new setting in Global Preferences called Third Party Sales.  This will indicate your participation or lack of in any third party sales partnerships that GCU engages in.

The default setting is YES, so if you do not want to participate in selling your cards via partners that GCU may partner with in the future please change it to NO.  This will prevent your cards from being candidates for partners to market and sell.

Third Party Sales
I want to participate in third party sales programs.  I understand that my per card earnings may differ
from per card earnings of sales on GCU and on GCU related properties.

The setting is here:
http://artist.greetingcarduniverse.com/community/edit_globals.asp

Please see prior post on one such impending partnership:

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks Mindy.  This is just another great example of how GCU listens to artists.

I am unable due to the fact some of the bouquets have strick trademark rules which I paid an attorney a great deal of money to handle.  But sure sounds like many artists will benefit and there are some great ones in this group.

Is this an agreement for sales of 5x7 paper greeting cards only, exactly as printed by the fulfillment partner, but sold to the 3rd party who then resells it in combination with their own value-added offerings (such as gift cards)?

If yes, then can we assume the Artist commission table in our license with GCU will be honored, with the price per card representing the wholesale prices paid by the 3rd party?

This sounds great, but I would like to see the answers to Toms questions before I do anything.

Doesn't Mindy's reference to a prior post answer your question Tom?  If not that I guess I'm lost  Grin

Doreen -

Not really, as the Global preference is for all 3rd party arrangements, not just the initial gift card one mentioned.
