Hi Denise,

I like the nice clean look of this and the tale of the monarch butterflies was a good fit with the cards you selected (great images, by the way!). Something that I am thinking of trialing on my own blog is to use scaled-down versions of the jpegs that I create for my cards and using the text link underneath instead of the image link. The smaller scaled images that I have used on my blog so far seem to be a good size. I have tried the image links on my own web site and I find that the thumbnail images generated are just too small.

Just my two cents worth.

To add to the compliments, your blog post looks GREAT! People love stories and pictures... I mean, a picture is worth a thousand words, right? Letting the story come out and matching it with pertinent cards is definitely one of the most effective ways to utilize this new function.

thanks everybody.. writing is a second love of mine. though i hate grammar. Grin

at any rate, i did have cards as the link targets but i wasn't sure if it should be links to cards or information. obviously the card images will be seen when i add them in for visual effect, but if the link isn't clicked then the exposure isn't there for other cards.. just wondering.

and Miles as for having fun....the jury is still out on that one. for me it made it much harder to go with the flow so to speak for worrying about "whose" card i was using. i tried to continue with the ones who had agreed in the post the other day but few had images that fit in with this story. so once i can relax about that it should be "more" fun. my wonderful techy son kiss

was on hand for help as well .

blogger does make it easier to add the links than expected i just need to remember to add that extension that opens a new tab rather than completely leave the blog. thanks to corrie for the resource info. google is usually my first stop when i am hunting something but i had not gone there yet.

Denise, I had a few moments to read your blog and I have to tell you how very much I enjoyed your story and your beautiful, beautiful images!!!!! I had a wonderful one-day experience with Monarchs last August ... nothing like your adventure ... and it was a day I'll never forget. Your writing was beautiful ... I felt like I was right there with you ... and couldn't wait to read to the end!!!!! Well done!!!!!!!! Wink
