Easter Card Approvals
Mar 26th, 2010, 11:56am

I'm wondering what's up with the review process?

I have only a few Easter cards submitted beginning with product ID 596757 and they're still waiting. Usually it's a couple of days or so. I'm a little late with these, so I'm not really expecting much out of them this year.

Not that I'm being picky, but the newest product ID in the approved cards is 597693 and it doesn't even appear to be a time-sensitive card. Many of the newer cards are in the 597 series of numbers.

What's up with mine?

Looks like your Easter cards were submitted on 3/24, only 2 days ago.  Shocked  With reviews as of late taking closer to 7 days you'll need to sit tight.  Tongue  Thanks for your patience.

And with Holiday cards needing to be created closer to 3 months before the actual holiday and Easter only 9 days away these cards realistically should have been created back in early January.

Tracking approved cards by pid#'s is not advised nor is it representative of the process.  There are many reasons why cards are reviewed out of pid# order (fasttrack, bypass review, large similar image collections, etc.).

Thanks - I think maybe my wording came across the wrong way. I wasn't too worried about the timing for Easter - I was already aware it was late for Easter,  but I was wondering about the product numbers, and whether or not mine had gotten stuck somehow.

Technically, I uploaded and created the cards in the wee small hours (morning ones) of the 23rd, not the 24th (my time). I wouldn't have asked at all except I noticed the product numbers and started wondering about them. It's been a while since I uploaded any new cards and I was wondering if things had changed. (Last time I uploaded cards approvals were running along at one or two days).

They don't go in order of creation?

Because if so, then why don't the files get reviewed that way? There's Renae with product numbers before mine, and way before the current approvals.

I know there are fast-track approvals for those who already have orders for cards, but it seems odd to have 1000 number different between current approvals and those pending.

Oh, and in case anyone is wondering - I don't know how two identical posts got sent - I posted the original post and the "working" button sat there for five minutes or so. I though something was wrong with my connection, so I closed my browser. When I came back to the site - there were two.

They do go in order of creation (pid #) however there are many reasons they may be reviewed out of order:
1. fasttrack
2. bypass review

and perhaps the biggest contributor
3. large collection of similar image cards -
these get reviewed as a collection for efficiency and are usually spread across pid#'s coming in by the hundreds by more than 1 artist can in fact appear to be a 1,000 pid# discrepancy

In general, tracking approved cards by pid#'s is not advised nor is it representative of the process.
