Hello.  I am fairly new here.  Spent the past few weeks reading through the forums and viewing cards posted.  I must say..  I have found the last 3 weeks of the "New Cards" section on the Home page enough to drive me insane. lol...  Is it always like that?  The repetition shown page after page of the same thing (well.. practically the same) is quite disturbing after a few hours... days... weeks... it seems.  It also does not lend itself as a place of new creative excitement for myself nor the people I have shown this site to.  We all found extra effort in trying to sift through the many pages looking for all the new, only to find the same new all through it..   I do not say this in any ill respect.  I understand that's the format things are done here.  But... cheeeezzzz...  I ck in every few hours all these weeks to see if any of my cards have posted and I am not sure weather to have sympathy for myself or the card checker persons.  I will say too, while using the search engine-categories a bit more I did see some magnificent cards made on this site.  So. that part was cool~

P.S.

It appears to me...  from my point of view that the "users" here refer to that section of the Home page often enough. Perhaps that traffic is equally motivating and important to them vs: just buyer traffic stats.  It is the most logical place I have found here to easily & quickly see the array of "New Cards" w/o having to go to each category to do so...  The Artists clearly use it.  Perhaps it assists in the excitement-motivation of the whole experience here for the artist.  I think that factor alone speaks volumes of it's importance here.  Smiley

Welcome Lj!  First may I have a chuckle with you on this subject  Grin

You are not alone, we artists have all at one time or another complained about this feature.  The GCU admins however have all the necessary tools to be able to see how often visitors/buyers use the New Card feature and it is very, very little...so needless to say changing this automated feature is not high on the list of to do's.

You really should not bother going there for your own cards.  I have over 850 cards, I opened my store last April and have never seen one of my cards in that section  Grin

I love your cards and wish you much success!

Hi Doreen.  Thanks for the kind words.  I appreciate that.

I was also thinking.. perhaps the traffic there is so low because of that very reason.. . People just stop using it..  Hummmm.. Hey, what the heck do I know anyway..  I am just a newbie here..   Wink

It feels like weeks have passed waiting for my many cards to be approved.   Hope I don't miss any holidays..  Kidding..   I will stop looking in that section..  Many Thanks for the banter Doreen~
