Observation on Grandparents & category question
Feb 18th, 2010, 5:33pm

Under the various Grandparents sections I've noticed something lacking.   I know there are some grandparents who don't like to be called Grandma or Grandpa  but prefer Granny or Granddad.  I just wonder if I'll hit a resubmit bump  when I post under there Grandmother/Grandfather or Grandpa.  undecided
I ask because I've been asked to resubmit things like Hang in there encouragement cards-for not saying hang in there-when in fact it does say hang in there, it's just in the middle of a verse. Huh So I get the idea someone is being very literal and specific (or perhaps has read too many cards and needs to take a break.  Wink )

Hi Terri,
Likely a little of both but in general we are pretty literal.

As for grandparents and name variations we do have some broken out, mostly in Birthday, for names like Nana, Pops, Granny, etc.   So look for them, if it's not there put in the traditional relation name category and you should be fine.  What you will need to keep in mind is that we only allow you to make the same card with up to 3 name variations if they'll be in the same category.

So you could do the following 3 for example all w/in Grandma / Grandmother subcategory:
Grandma
Grandmother
Grammy

Please see here re: name/wording variations:

For categories ie: Encouragement where we have broken out subcats for specific sentiments like Dream Big, Keep you Chin up, etc we are very literal otherwise the card would go in General.
